Utah DWR’s first-week-of-September plants: Scofield, Fish Lake, Navajo

Utah’s hatchery trucks did not wait for October. The Division of Wildlife Resources 2026 stocking table lists Scofield Reservoir (Carbon) for 2,109 rainbows on Sept. 1 and 1,207 more on Sept. 2 (about 11 inches). Navajo Lake (Kane) took 756 and 1,134 rainbows on Sept. 2. Fish Lake (Sevier) took four cutbow lots totaling about 30,000 fish on Sept. 3 (roughly 6-inch fish). Community water got fish the same week — Bartholomew Park Pond (Utah County) 1,002 rainbows on Sept. 3, Fairmont Park in Salt Lake City 252.

Those are official DWR rows, not a shop rumor. High-elevation streams and lakes still fish into late September; check weather and fire closures before you hike.
