TBF/Student Angler Federation locks a Type A day at Oroville Oct. 4

Lake Oroville’s first October weekend now carries a Type A black bass card. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife fishing-contests board lists an approved one-day Type A permit for TBF/Student Angler Federation on Oroville, Lake on Oct. 4, 2026.

Type A is the larger-than-60-angler black bass class. CDFW issues only one Type A permit per water per day, so this is the full-field Oroville card that Sunday. The same weekend already has Two Birds Fishing’s approved two-day Type D catfish permit on Clear Lake Oct. 3–4 — different water, different species, same early-October traffic on Northern California ramps.
