Arkansas Sept. 10 weekly: White River trout still on the two-fish hatchery emergency

Arkansas’s famous trout tailwaters are still on the hatchery-loss bag. The Sept. 10, 2026 AGFC weekly report restates the Feb. 1 change: Bull Shoals Dam to Norfork Access, two rainbows a day, all trout 14 inches or longer released immediately. Norfork Access to Highway 58 at Guion, two trout of any species, only one longer than 14 inches, with brook 14 and brown/cutthroat/tiger 24 if you keep a second fish. Beaver and Greers Ferry stay two trout, everything 14-plus released.

Those limits followed 2025 die-offs and flood damage at Norfork National Fish Hatchery and Jim Hinkle Spring River State Fish Hatchery. They remain until further notice — not a September rewrite, but the live rule the weekly sheet is still printing for Labor Day-week anglers.

Lake Conway stays drawn down for renovation; the 70-acre nursery pond is the Mayflower family option (bass, crappie, catfish, bream; trout in cold months). Confirm the water you stand in before you keep a 14-inch rainbow.
